Renovation work to 6 bedroom Grade 2 listed house in Kemptown

When it comes to Grade Listed buildings it is important to understand the implications and to take the extra step to protect certain elements and features of the building which in most cases, do not make the project being straightforward.

Our fantastic trades understood the principal and produced lovely finishes, despite the difficulties of retaining and restoring some of the existing features.

The project covered renovation of two reception rooms, kitchen, six bedrooms and four bathrooms, stairways and landings as well as some work to the lower ground floor rear courtyard.

All important elements including detailed coving and ceiling roses, any remaining sections of lath and plaster, fireplace surrounds and hearths, historical timber panelling, architraves and doorways were protected, retained and lastly restored keeping the original characteristics of the Grade Listed Kemptown House.

Client’s high end choices of handmade bathroom furniture through to lovely tiling patterns, freestanding baths to original but traditional lighting features only enhanced the fine finishes our Team has delivered, making the place a stunning family home.
